Weekend Homes on Plots

Located in the outskirts of the Indore city, the proposal explores the idea of creating a self-sustainable serene and calm environment for the residents to take a break from the city life. A unique model of development wherein a group of friends coming to gather to develop a cluster of forty villas that would be leased or sold only on membership basis. The site terrain was the key inspiration behind the conceptual idea of having the villas to be placed and different heights to maximize the depth of their vistas towards the surrounding hill range in the distance. The natural streams of water that carries the rain water towards the nearby village also played a significant role in determining the master plan with a catchment area converted into a large lake. Surrounding the lake are many different activities such as the golf range, kids play area, multipurpose open space, amphitheater, club house, green house, animal shelters and the farming areas that not only acts an activity generator but also help generate revenues. Amongst all the amenities one of the key proposal was that of a tree top walk amongst the existing clusters of trees.
