Funnel Court House

A multistory single-family home built on a linear and deep plot. The site only permits a short facade along the main road thereby guiding the design of the house, leading to the introduction of a funnel court that connects spaces vertically and enhances light and ventilation.  The design embarks on articulating usable spaces carefully such that their spatial volumes allow opportunities for stack ventilation. The structure is planned independently perpendicular to the adjacent parallel walls, resulting in the making of air shafts between the different buildings.
