This event was an open house of one of the studio's completed residential projects in Ahmedabad, offering visitors an opportunity to experience the architecture firsthand and engage with the ideas that shaped its design. By moving through the spaces and observing the building in use, participants were able to understand the relationship between the original architectural concept and its built manifestation, witnessing how design intentions evolve and materialize through the process of construction.
Conducted as part of Ahmedabad Commons 2025, a city-wide platform that opens significant projects to the public, the event encouraged meaningful engagement between architecture and the wider community. It provided a rare opportunity for visitors to experience the nuances of space, light, materiality, scale, and inhabitation beyond what can be communicated through drawings or photographs alone.
By opening the project to the public, the event reinforced the importance of dialogue between architects, users, and the city. It demonstrated how architecture can be appreciated as a lived experience and encouraged visitors to better understand the value of thoughtful design in shaping the built environment. Through this initiative, the project became not only a house but also a platform for learning, exchange, and public engagement with contemporary architectural practice.
